Dundas Remembrance Day Parade and Service - Saturday, 11th November, 202

A good turnout of Branch 36 members took part in the Colour Party and the Branch 36 Legion marching unit.  The parade consisted of the Dundas Pipe Band, the Branch 36 Colour Party, Branch 36 Legion unit, Canadian Army unit followed by the Hamilton Air Force Association and cadets from the local Sea, Army and Air cadet units.

The weather was overcast and dry when the parade marched to the War Memorial at the Dundas Community Center.  Rev. Jim Sandilands (Br.36 Padre) presented the service from the dais.  It began raining lightly at 11:30am and continued throughout the service, and during the laying of wreathes by various Dundas organizations and businesses.

When the laying of wreathes was completed the parade marched up King Street to the Dundas Branch 36 Legion where it was dismissed.  Everyone went into the Branch where refreshments and sandwiches were waiting.

A ceremony took place in the Banquet Hall where local Sea, Army and Air Cadet units were presented with cheques by the Dundas Poppy Fund Co-Chair Chris Slote.
