Remembrance Day in Dundas

Wednesday, 11th November, 2020

Dominion and Ontario Command asked that all Legion Remembrance Day Parades and services be cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dundas Branch 36 cancelled its Remembrance Day Parade and Service - notices were sent out to the local media, and Branch 36 members telling them of the cancellations.

Included in the notice, that was sent out, it was noted that anyone could still lay wreaths at the cenotaph after 11:15am.

Although the Dundas Legion Parade and Service was cancelled, a number of members of the public and some Dundas Legion members gathered at the cenotaph shortly before 11:00am.  There was a flyover by a World War II aircraft from the Hamilton Warplane museum shortly before 11:00am.

After Last Post and then Reveille, a number of wreaths were laid by at the Dundas Cenotaph by members of the public and Dundas Branch 36.

THANK YOU TO ALL WHO ATTENDED
