Dundas Poppy Fund Campaign
January 1st - December 31st, 2023
This year has been a great success compared to last year and we’re looking forward to the new campaign that begins October 25th. Thanks to the generosity we had last year, we will still be able to meet many of what we feel are our obligations. The following budget reflects what we were able to donate during our past year.
The following are the areas that the money we collected were given during the period from January 1st, 2023 to December 31st, 2023. This is the most recent year that we have completed.
|
Our income for the year totaled $91,85.67
Cost of supplies $ 23,804.84.
Support of cadets $ 9,000.00
Juravinski Cancer Clinic $ 5,000.00
St. Joseph’s Villa $ 22,312.50
Support to Nursing & Retirement $ 4,102.29
Support of Veterans $ 9,418.49
Youth & Education $ 1,559.80
Bank Charges $ 140.03
Homeless Veterans Fund $ 10,000.00
Youth & Education $ 1,645.77 |
Starting in December, Poinsettia plants were delivered to our Veterans and widows who reside in retirement and nursing homes.
Needless to say, our total expenditures during this period totaled $104,728.84
While our expenditures were more than income, the amount we spent starting in the New Year was covered by our surplus from previous years. Your Poppy Fund always tries to make sure the money we collect is used towards our Veterans and their widows.
