When I Must Leave You

When I must leave you for a little while

Please do not grieve and shed wild tears

And hug your sorrow to you through the years

But start out bravely with a gallant smile;

And for my sake and in my name

live on and do all things the same,

Feed not your loneliness on empty days

But fill each waking hour in useful ways,

Reach out your hand in comfort and in cheer

Ricky will be missed by his  many friends and Legion Comrades

But most of all by Marilyn his love for 20yrs, his son and wife

and two grandchildren, his daughter, his brother also

Now that the suffering has come to an end

I'll bet he now has that Harley he always wanted to tend

Zipping along that open air road

Because he no longer has that big painful load

He always said that when he goes

He wants his ashes spread on a warm beach in Barbados

No service or ceremony - what he wanted most

Was for his friends to celebrate his life and lift a glass in a toast
