When I Must
Leave You |
|
|
|
When I must leave you for a
little while |
|
Please do not grieve and shed
wild tears |
|
And hug your sorrow to you
through the years |
|
But start out bravely with a
gallant smile; |
|
And for my sake and in my name
|
|
live on and do all things the
same, |
|
Feed not your loneliness on
empty days |
|
But fill each waking hour in
useful ways, |
|
Reach out your hand in comfort
and in cheer |
|
And I in turn will comfort you
and hold you near; |
|
And never, never be afraid to
die |
|
For I am waiting for you in the
sky |
|
|
|
Ricky will be missed by his
many friends and Legion Comrades |
|
But most of all by Marilyn his
love for 20yrs, his son and wife |
|
and two grandchildren,
his daughter, his brother also |
|
Leigh and husband |

| MISS ME BUT LET ME
GO |
| |
| When I come to the end of the
road, |
| And the sun has set for me, |
| I want no tears in a gloom
filled room, |
| Miss me a little, but not to
long, |
| And not with your head bowed
low, |
| Remember the love that we once
shared, |
| Miss me but let me go. |
| |
| For this a journey we all must
take, |
| And each must go alone, |
| It's all part of the Master's
plan, |
| A step on the road to home, |
| When you are lonely and sick
at heart, |
| Go to the friends we know, |
| And bury your sorrows in doing
good deeds, |
| Miss me but let me go |

| Now
that the suffering has come to an end |
| I'll
bet he now has that Harley he always wanted to tend |
| Zipping
along that open air road |
| Because
he no longer has that big painful load |
| He
always said that when he goes |
| He
wants his ashes spread on a warm beach in Barbados |
| No
service or ceremony - what he wanted most |
| Was for
his friends to celebrate his life and lift a glass in a toast |
