ZONE B6 MEETING MINUTES
A Zone Meeting was held on Monday, May 26, 2014
Opening Ceremonies were conducted by Branch 163 President Comrade Murray Brown.
The Meeting opened at 7:30 p.m.
The Roll was called. All Branches were represented.
MOTION to deviate from the Agenda was passed.

The Minutes were adopted as circulated.
CORRESPONDENCE
The Convention Booklet is out.
ZONE COMMANDERS REPORT
Comrade Zone Commander stated that he requires a report from each President in December, March, June and September.
The District Convection will be at Branch 163 October 3, 4, 5.

Comrade Robert Watson stated that we should investigate the Outreach Programme. Long Term Care Homes will tell you numbers not names. Please investigate ways to reach our veterans .
MEMBERSHIP
Comrade Joyce Brown stated that membership chairmen will have received notice of all who have not renewed membership for the past 2 years. Please encourage them to keep their membership current.

YOUTH EDUCATION
Comrade Jackie Ralston stated that a 2nd place finish in the Poster Literary Contest was achieve by a student of District B.
L.A. REPORT
Comrade Jackie Ralston stated that Branch 36 has a new L.A. President, Comrade Debbie Cooke and Branch 36 has a new President, Comrade Doris Fuller.
BURSARIES
There will be a meeting of the Bursary Committee on June 28.
She noted that she will be visiting the Lake Joseph Veterans Camp in June.

GENERAL AND NEW BUSINESS
District Council—July 4-5
Discussion about hotel bookings was held.—Juke Box will be entertaining.
Beer problem—LCBO want money not cheques. This is contrary to Legion Policy. Comrade John will look into it for the Branches having difficulty. The two “hot” topics at Dominion Convention were: Dominion wants to raise fees by $5.
The second concerns combining Associates and Affiliates in one category. Both were strongly opposed at this meeting.
The next Meeting will be at ON SEPTEMBER 29, 2014 AT BRANCH 315.
The Meeting concluded at 8:20p.m.
