POPPY

Comrade Robert Watson reported:

Just a heads up for the Zone Meeting in Stoney Creek on Monday, Oct 25th. I will be at the Branch after 5:45 pm to assist any Poppy Chairs with questions before their Audit. I have looked over Poppy Trust Fund Reports for Branches #551, 622 and #163. It was great to see that the newspaper notices for 2012-2013 are rolling out before the campaign starts.
Hope you all have a successful launch for this year. Heartfelt thanks to all of our volunteers.
Please any questions I can be reached via email or 905.892.0488.
Good wishes go out to Robert (Bob) Brown at Branch #622.

PRO

Comrade Peter Whittaker reported:

1)    Updated Zone Home page – added a new item:   Zone B6 Branch Contact Information as supplied by Jane Richardson.

2)    Updated Zone Web Site – Minutes page – added minutes of September, 2013 meeting to page.

3)    At our September meeting I mentioned that several branches did not have an email address listed on their web site.

a)    You should make sure information on your web site is up to date.

b)    Ensure that an email address is supplied so that anyone  accessing your site can contact you electronically - just supplying a telephone number is not good enough when people are viewing your site from other parts of the world or outside your local calling area and have questions.

c)    Your email should be visited regularly and checked for new incoming email which should be answered promptly.

4)    Please view the Zone web site and confirm that the information for your Branch is correct and if you have something you would like to see on this site please let me know.  If no-one gives me suggestions to add to the site then they won’t get added.
