Dundas Poppy Fund Campaign
January 1 - December 31, 2022
This year has been a great success compared to last year and we're looking
forward to the new campaign that begins October 27th. Thanks to the generosity we
had last year, we will still be able to meet many of what we feel are our obligations.
The following budget reflects what we were able to donate during our past year.
The following are the areas that the money we collected were given during the
period from January 1st, 2022 to December 31st, 2022. This is the most recent year
that we have completed.
Our income for the year totaled $104,944.47
Cost of supplies $ 2,658.13
Support of cadets $10,000.00
Juravinski Cancer Clinic $ 5,000.00
St. Joseph's Villa $10,503.74
Belec University Scholarships $ 500.00
Support to Nursing & Retirement $ 915.3
Support of Veterans $13,028.26
Youth & Education $ 1,559.80
Bank Charges $ 302.12
Storage $ 350.00
Starting on December 14th, 2022 - 192 poinsettia plants were delivered to our
Veterans and widows who reside in retirement and nursing homes. Needless to say
they enjoyed being remembered at this time of year.
Our total expenditures during this period totaled $44,817.35
While our expenditures were less than income, the amount we spent starting in
the New Year were larger than normal and our expenditures were higher Your
Poppy Fund always tries to make sure the money we collect is used towards our
Veterans and widows. We also had Ontario Provincial Command change our Year
End which helped to confuse things greatly. Hopefully this year we will not be
working under the threat of a Covid epidemic.
