On Sunday, 27th May, 2018 a total of 28 Legion members took part in the Spring Work Party to ensure
that the Branch was up to snuff for the Branch 36 D-Day Church Parade and
of the work party split up into groups and did various tasks in and around the
branch including sweeping the parking lot, checking plants in the front
gardens, planting new plants around the Legion property and general cleanup. Repainting of various outside parts of the Branch where the paint had suffered over the winter at the front and side entrances to the Branch.
The outside wall of the Branch building was painted where air conditioning units were removed last year.
Inside the Branch other tasks were being done. Gord Sharpe replaced fluorescent bulbs upstairs along with replacing damaged covers over the bulbs in the ceiling in the upstairs kitchen area.
Marie Kobolynski and Marilyn Latchford cleaned the kitchen area, and went through everything in the freezer room in the kitchen upstairs and cleaned out any condiments before they reached their best-by dates.
Various in-house tasks were completed by Linda Rivers, Mary Whittaker and Dave Hawthorne including washing, cleaning and dusting variou areas in the club room and also in the Wentworth room.
