Early on the day of the 40th Anniversary Cactus Festival Parade a voluntary work crew met to build the Branch 36 Legion Float build the Branch 36 Legion Float that was to take part in the parade. Gord Sharpe, Doug Rivers, Peter Whittaker, Paul Penney, Dave Hawthorne, Bryan White and cccc cccc met at the Legion to build the Branch 36 Legion float. that was to take part in the parade.
